About the role
The Swedish e-Health Authority is tasked with building a national digital infrastructure within health, care, and social services to support and enable the sharing of health data between healthcare systems. This infrastructure aims to improve the quality of care, enhance patient safety, strengthen the patient's position, and reduce the administrative burden for healthcare staff.
As a full-stack developer here, you will work in an agile team in close collaboration with investigators and business specialists who continuously deliver value. You will work with test-driven development and test automation as a natural part of the job, making this a role for you if you appreciate a broad range of responsibilities.
You work closely with your colleagues, and you share responsibility as a team for the quality of the code produced. The team is technologically at the forefront, and you will take significant individual responsibility while contributing to the bigger picture. You will help build a new business area and create new components, offering excellent opportunities to influence technical development.
About you
You are someone who is passionate about technology and moves effortlessly between tools and environments. You are eager to learn what you don't know yet and bring ideas for new technical solutions and methods. As a person, you thrive when collaborating with others, you take great personal responsibility for driving your work forward, and you are analytical.
We are looking for someone who has:
- An academic education in IT, software, or programming, or alternatively, several years of relevant work experience in similar roles.
- At least three years of experience as a system developer where Java was the primary programming language.
- At least two years of experience developing with Quarkus, Spring Boot, or another equivalent modern Java framework for microservices.
- At least two years of experience where testing and test automation were an integrated part of code lifecycle management.
- At least one year of experience working with container-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
The following qualifications are meritorious:
- Experience in front-end development using tools such as Vue.js.
- Experience publishing and contributing to open source.
- Experience working with databases via JPA/Hibernate, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Experience developing in a Linux environment.
- Experience with the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standard or other interoperability standards.

The position is permanent with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. The place of work is Kalmar or Stockholm. The work may involve business travel, primarily between Kalmar and Stockholm.
A position with us may involve security clearance. Therefore, we may need to conduct a security check with register control according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). Swedish citizenship is required for some security-classified tasks.
