Project Description

The client is seeking a Senior Project Manager who can join before the summer break and ramp up fully in August. The role involves leading the delivery of a brand new on-premise AI platform, built on a GPU cluster in Sweden with strict separation of data, users, and applications.

Several AI applications are already in use within the nuclear power operations, and more are being actively delivered by three small teams working in parallel. This is not a greenfield project or a pure planning exercise – it is an ongoing program with real users, active stakeholders, and a backlog spanning from high-level strategy to technical details. We now need a leader who can create structure, drive flow, and keep the delivery focused using a Kanban-based approach.

Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for goals, budget, schedule, and quality for a portfolio of more than 12 AI use cases. You will become the hub between the technical teams, the business, and governing functions.

Your Responsibilities

• Establish and own a Kanban board as the primary tool for delivery management, visualize work in flow, and ensure that impediments are quickly identified and resolved.
• Coordinate three delivery units (A, B, and C) with initially six AI engineers and ensure an efficient workflow.
• Facilitate recurring working methods and meeting structures such as daily stand-ups, replenishment meetings, and flow reviews.
• Manage a broad stakeholder landscape comprising five business units (FKA, RAB, SKB, BAG, and KSU), infrastructure architects, IT security, and the nuclear power operations' IT architecture council (NITAB).
• Translate requirements together with the teams into concrete work items on the Kanban board and ensure close collaboration with product owners and business representatives for each use case.
• Monitor and communicate delivery status against a rolling roadmap for the AI use cases.
• Adapt reporting to Project StreeCo and have ongoing check-ins with the Delivery Manager.
• Ensure the initiative meets regulatory and security requirements, including ISMS 1042 and recurring security audits.

We are looking for someone who has

• At least 9 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably in environments with many stakeholders.
• Documented experience with Kanban and flow management – you can design, drive, and improve delivery flows in a multi-team setup.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management and the ability to translate between business needs and technical teams.
• Ability to work independently in an environment where structure is not always in place from the start.
• Experience from regulated, security-sensitive, or nuclear technical environments is advantageous.
• Experience with AI or platform deliveries is advantageous.
• Fluent English in speech and writing; Swedish is an advantage as many stakeholders are Swedish-speaking.
• A university degree is advantageous.
