The operations of the Culture and Education Administration include upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, adult education, youth clubs, arts school, cultural houses, libraries, museums, art halls, tourism, event operations, facilities, Nolhaga Ice Hall, Nolhaga Farm, Nolhaga Park Bath, and support for associations. Approximately 420 employees work within the entire administration.

Youth activities are directed at young people aged 13–18, based on European principles and guidelines for local open leisure and youth activities, including drop-in, groups, closed, and outreach operations. As a Recreation Coordinator, your basic assignment is to support and stimulate activities that are based on and require young people's active engagement and responsibility.

Job Responsibilities

You work directly with the target group in open activities based on KEKS Good Enough goals and are part of a work team that conducts activities at meeting places and in other relevant contexts. You are responsible for documentation in the quality system KEKS The Logbook and contribute to the systematic quality work of the operations.

The role includes a personal area of responsibility for girls' activities, focusing on creating safe and accessible contexts for girls in the target group.

The work is carried out in collaboration with other actors focused on the same target group, both internally and externally. Working hours are during the day and evening. Work may occur on weekends. You may work in the southern and northern parts of the municipality.

Requirements and Merits

We are looking for someone who is engaged and pedagogical with relevant professional experience in the field. Experience from open youth activities, social work, or other promoting work is meritorious. Experience with administrative tasks is also seen as meritorious. We expect you to have post-secondary education relevant to the position and hold a B driving license.

To thrive in the role, you need to be secure and stable with good social competence. You enjoy working in teams and actively contribute to a functional work team. At the same time, you are used to taking personal responsibility for your workday and planning your tasks in a structured way. Flexibility, solution-focus, and creativity are important qualities as the work involves varying environments, times, and tasks.
