Component Engineer

We are now looking for one or more Component Engineers for our location in Västerås, with a strong interest in technology and electronics.

As a Component Engineer, you ensure that every individual component meets the specified requirements, desired quality, and availability for production. You are responsible for ensuring that the right components are available throughout the entire lifecycle of the products. In your daily work, you will navigate between technical details and practical problem-solving while collaborating closely with various parts of the organization, such as project management, procurement, and production. Consequently, this role involves extensive contact both internally and externally. The role of Component Engineer suits you if you want to work broadly with electronic components, thrive on in-depth technical questions, and wish to understand the entire supply chain.

In this role, you will work with technical issues related to electronic components and support other functions within the organization and with customers when selecting components. You monitor components, manufacturers, and technical changes, and maintain contact with suppliers. In your work as a Component Engineer, you handle large amounts of technical data and contribute to the development and improvement of working methods and processes. You work proactively with component strategies, obsolescence management, and alternative solutions to ensure stable and cost-effective production.

We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant post-secondary education, for example in electronics, electrical engineering, technical physics, robotics, or similar.
  • An eye for detail and the ability to perform work with precision and quality awareness.
  • A good understanding of technical documentation and structured data management.
  • Experience from the electronics industry, EMS operations, or product development.
  • Negotiation skills and a commercial mindset are considered merits.
  • Fluent language skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

Do you thrive in a technical environment with a fast pace where you are given significant responsibility? Then we would love to talk more about the role with you.

We warmly welcome your application!

Selection, interviews, and appointments are conducted on an ongoing basis, so please submit your application as soon as possible, but no later than September 10. If you have any questions, please contact recruitment consultant Julia Öhrberg Nyberg at [email protected] or 073 - 096 18 15. During the summer holiday period, responses may be delayed, but we will get back to you as soon as possible.
