Your new job

Working in home care involves performing care and support work as well as service tasks in the customer's home, based on the implementation plan. As a trained assistant nurse (undersköterska), you will also become the designated contact person for care. In your role, social documentation and communication with citizens, colleagues, and relatives are central parts of the job. We always work based on the customer's needs and wishes, with a dignified and professional approach characterized by respect, trust, and consideration, which are the foundations of our operations.

Your qualifications

Primarily, we are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse (undersköterska). Longer work experience from elderly care may substitute the educational requirement. For this position, it is an advantage if you have previously worked in elderly care, specifically in home care.

You must master Swedish in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension, as a central part of the job is communicating with citizens and relatives, as well as writing documentation and reading information relevant to the work.

Good cycling skills and a B-driver's license are desirable and required in some groups.

You have a genuine interest in working with people and work in a service-oriented manner towards our customers. You remain calm in stressful situations and see opportunities in change. Furthermore, you have the ability to collaborate with your colleagues and reason and discuss solutions in a constructive manner. The work requires that you are flexible and structured in your work. It is important that you take responsibility for your tasks and perform them with diligence. As a person, we believe you are stable, secure, and proactive.

In home care, there are a total of 24 groups and 1 area pool working across Jönköping Municipality. With a focus on providing quality care and support to our customers in their homes. We have needs in the following groups: Hovslätt Home Care, Östra Centrum Home Care, Vätterängen Home Care, Liljeholmen Home Care, Bankeryd East Home Care, Väster Home Care, Dunkehalla Home Care, Lekeryd Home Care.

Assistant Nurse (Undersköterska) is job-evaluated and found in base group D.

Care Assistant (Vårdbiträde) is job-evaluated and found in base group B.

The recruitment is for permanent full-time positions and hourly temporary positions. Working hours are scheduled during days and evenings, weekdays and every other weekend, with a varying schedule. Jönköping Municipality aims for full-time as the norm and always offers 100% employment. You as an applicant have the opportunity to specify another desired employment degree during an interview. We work with joint planning, which means working in several home care groups will be relevant. Probationary employment may be applied.
