The Role of Midwife

As a midwife at the Women's Clinic, you work in a team and meet women and families at different stages of life. Our operations are characterized by a person-centered approach, high professionalism, and a shared commitment to safe and secure care. We are development-oriented and continuously work on improvement projects where your competence, thoughts, and ideas are a valuable contribution.

Your Future Workplace

Approximately 230 employees work at the Women's Clinic. The clinic's operations are located at Länsjukhuset Ryhov, at 12 family centers, and at a youth clinic. We provide healthcare within pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, gynecological diseases, infertility, abortion, and contraceptive services.

The youth clinic works with young people's sexual-reproductive and psychosocial health. This provides good conditions for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and a holistic perspective on women's health throughout life. The clinic has a county-wide responsibility for women with complicated pregnancies and threatened premature birth, and works in a process-oriented manner.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed midwife. We welcome both those who are new to the profession and those with long experience who wish to continue developing within the Women's Clinic's broad mandate.

You can contribute with security in patient encounters and have a professional and empathetic approach. You have good collaboration skills, are flexible and non-hierarchical, and have the courage to act and make decisions even in situations that may be complex or challenging. Personal suitability is given great importance.

During your introduction, you will receive support from experienced colleagues. The introduction is adapted based on your previous experience and needs.

Working hours in inpatient care are scheduled during days, evenings, and nights, with weekend shifts two weekends out of five. We offer a fixed-term position with an start date as agreed.
