About the Workplace

Futurum is Håbo's largest primary school, with 1,050 students from preschool class to grade 9.

The school is characterized by relational work and high expectations for both students and staff. At our school, accessible learning is at the forefront. This refers to accessibility in terms of the physical, social, and pedagogical environment. It means that all students are given access and the opportunity to participate in learning and community throughout the entire learning environment. The school staff constantly re-evaluates and applies their competence in relation to the conditions and needs of the operations and the students. Together with students and guardians, we work to create the prerequisites for accessible learning and a student-adapted environment.

We are now looking for a new colleague to join our knowledgeable and friendly team in the working group for grades 7-9.

Your Responsibilities

The assignment consists of teaching in grades 7-9 in the subjects of history, religion, social studies, and geography. Mentoring is included in the assignment, shared with a mentor colleague. You collaborate with subject colleagues and the working group, planning, implementing, and following up on teaching.

Together with subject colleagues and the working group, you work to develop and solve daily challenges related to planning, teaching, and follow-up of instruction.

In your assignment, you contribute to a culture where we take responsibility, inspire, collaborate, and support each other. You are comfortable documenting and planning developmental initiatives within your subjects to increase goal fulfillment. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other tasks included in your role in an effective manner.

You naturally base your work on the Education Act and the curriculum, where students' knowledge develops from social and personal contexts. We view innovative thinking positively, where creative processes challenge us and create new ways of teaching, with the student's interest and the goal that all students reach their potential when they leave us in grade 9.

Qualifications

You are a certified subject teacher in history, religion, social studies, and geography for grades 7-9. We are looking for you who have the ability to organize according to the organization's goals, while also being adaptable when daily life presents unforeseen events.

You are also genuinely interested in creating, maintaining, and nurturing good relationships with both colleagues and students and guardians. It is a matter of course for you to always have the student's best interests in mind. You have good structures for documentation, follow-up, and analysis of initiatives.

You should have good collaboration skills and be flexible in finding solutions in cooperation for students' increased knowledge development. The work requires that you are structured and have the ability to meet students, colleagues, and guardians in a trustworthy manner.
