Description

Daily activities ("Daglig verksamhet") is a support measure under the Support and Service Act for Certain Functionally Disabled (LSS). The purpose of daily activities is to offer meaningful engagement. This engagement is adapted to each individual's specific needs, conditions, and wishes. Within the department for daily activities, there are 13 different activities to ensure we can meet these needs.

We are now looking for three support assistants for permanent positions.

Responsibilities

To work together with the unit manager, activity leader, and support pedagog in accordance with the goals and guidelines applicable to daily activities. You will provide support in the individual's daily activities based on their specific needs, using clear and understandable pedagogy, and in accordance with individual implementation plans and routines.

Collaboration with relatives, guardians, and other important people in the individual's life is part of the role.

We collaborate across unit boundaries, so shifts at other units may occur.

Qualifications

You must have completed the Care and Nursing Programme or the Child and Youth Programme with a focus on social activities. Passing grades are required for the position. You should have experience working with and knowledge about people with intellectual and/or mental disabilities.

Experience working with individuals within the autism spectrum and knowledge of clear and understandable pedagogy are prerequisites for the role.

We expect you to have a positive view of people, be flexible, proactive, and receptive, and have the ability to work both independently and in a team.

We also expect you to align with the municipality's employee principles, which include seeing yourself as part of a larger whole for the common mission, keeping the person in focus when performing your work, being loyal to the mission and decisions made, and contributing to the development of the activity.

A valid Category B driver's license is required.
