About the Role

In the role of Field Mechanic, you will work with service, repair, maintenance, and diagnostics primarily of forklifts but also construction machinery at VS Truck's customers' sites. You will have your own customer base and be the direct contact for the customer, providing the personal service that VS Truck has built its business on. You will plan your service work, order spare parts, and handle service administration. You will have a fully equipped service vehicle, and the position is home-based. Your region is Småland, and there is a smaller workshop in Nybro that can be used if needed.

Specifically, the responsibilities include:

• Service, repair, maintenance, and diagnostics of forklifts and construction machinery.
• Service and repair planning.
• Technical support and advice to customers.
• Spare parts management.

About You

To be suitable for this position, you have:

• Experience in mechanical service, installation, and troubleshooting of forklifts or heavier machinery.
• Knowledge of working with vehicle electrical systems and reading electrical diagrams.
• Experience in field-based work and customer contact in some form.
• Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• A valid B-driver's license.

As a person, you are self-motivated, trustworthy, and it is of utmost importance that you are problem-solving and can handle different focus areas simultaneously. You also have a high focus on quality and work meticulously with both your tasks and subsequent documentation. The role of Field Mechanic also involves several contact points both internally and externally. Therefore, it is important that you thrive in communicative roles, have a service-oriented mindset, and find it inspiring to meet customers.

Additional Information

• Start Date: According to agreement.
• Location: You can conveniently base yourself from both Växjö and Kalmar and the surrounding areas.
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00.
• Salary: According to agreement.
