Vimmerby Energi & Miljö is looking for a Plant Technician for Heating

About the Role

As a Plant Technician, you will work with process control and operational optimization, as well as corrective and planned maintenance at our production facilities. This also includes troubleshooting and repair during acute operational disruptions and faults.

In addition to district heating in Vimmerby, we operate four local heating networks with associated boiler plants in towns around Vimmerby. Our production facilities use both biofuel and biogas. Our main facility is a modern biofuel-fired combined heat and power plant where we produce, in addition to district heating, steam, hot water, and electricity delivered to our local customers.

Working hours are 07:00–16:00, and on-call duty is included every sixth week.

About You

In this role, it is crucial that you have a strong focus on service and preventive maintenance. You have relevant technical education, such as Plant Technician, Process Engineer, or Marine Engineer. We value experience from similar operations, such as process and/or operational tasks.

We assume that you are comfortable working both in the control room and practically out in our facilities. Knowledge of computerized control and monitoring systems as well as expertise in combustion technology is an advantage.

You have your own drive and see what needs to be done in daily operations, and you are eager to take initiatives to develop them. Good social skills and teamwork ability are a given for us. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

You have good language skills in Swedish and English. You hold a valid driver's license (Category B).
