Ward 5 is a specialized care unit where we treat patients with lung diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, and other internal medical conditions. This provides a broad and varied patient group, for example, people with COPD, lung cancer, respiratory failure, and inflammatory bowel diseases. The work is varied and takes place close to the patient, supported by modern medical technology equipment.

The Allergy and Lung Clinic is a specialist clinic for patients with lung diseases, allergies, and sleep-related problems. Here, you work more independently with your own patient visits while being part of a multidisciplinary team.

In this position, you combine work at the clinic and the ward, giving you the opportunity to follow patients through different parts of the care chain and have a varied workday.

Job Responsibilities

On the ward, you are responsible for the patients' medical nursing care. You perform assessments, monitor conditions, handle medications, and lead the nursing work together with the team. You participate in rounds and collaborate with other healthcare providers as well as relatives.

At the clinic, you work both independently and in a team. You have your own patient visits, for example, during blood gas sampling and nurse visits related to oxygen, CPAP, allergy, and lung cancer. You also participate in examinations such as bronchoscopy and provide advice via 1177 and TeleQ.

The position gives you the opportunity to develop within both outpatient and inpatient care. You will receive an introduction tailored to your needs and support to grow into the role. Night shifts will become relevant only when you feel confident in your tasks.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience of working in healthcare is meritorious but not a requirement. To thrive in the role, we see that you are flexible and appreciate variation in your work. You have a humble and respectful approach in meetings with patients, relatives, and colleagues. You collaborate well with others, contribute to a positive work environment, and always have the patient's best interest in focus.
