ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Production Technician with a focus on logistics, you will become part of a cross-functional team within Supply Chain working to develop, improve, and future-proof logistics flows related to the company's engine production. The team consists of production technicians, logistics engineers, office technicians, and packaging technicians who together drive the development of logistics flows linked to production.

The department is facing several strategically important projects focusing on capacity, cost-efficiency, and future logistics solutions. To meet the growing demand, the team is now seeking reinforcement in the form of a production technician who can contribute both operationally and strategically.

You will work closely with project managers and other technical functions to ensure that logistics supports the company's goals and future needs. The role offers a varied daily routine where you get to combine practical improvement work with development projects within supply chain, capacity development, and automation.

You will become part of an engaged team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and positive energy are key success factors. Your workplace is in Skövde, where you will join a company playing a central role in the development of future drivetrains and engine platforms.

The role involves a combination of operational work close to the business and analytical work developing logistics and production flows.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will work on developing and optimizing internal logistics flows to ensure high capacity, cost-efficiency, and delivery reliability. You will lead and participate in projects that develop the company's logistics solutions and working methods.

You will also:

• Identify and implement improvements in material flows and supply chain processes
• Participate in capacity and efficiency projects related to production and logistics
• Evaluate and implement logistics solutions for the company's long-term needs
• Work on requirements and specifications related to automation and logistics equipment
• Collaborate with project managers, production, technical functions, and external suppliers
• Contribute to the development of future automation solutions and more efficient working methods
• Monitor and analyze logistics-related key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Support the business in matters related to logistics, material handling, and production flows

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Have at least 2 years of experience as a production technician, logistics developer, or in a similar role within manufacturing industry
• Have a good understanding of flow optimization, capacity work, and business development within production or logistics
• Are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as the role involves many contact points both internally and externally

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Automation solutions in industry or logistics
• Requirements specification and technical equipment, e.g., PLC-related solutions
• SAP or other business and logistics systems
• Project work in larger industrial operations

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT

This is a consultancy assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday and work as a consultant at our client's site. There may be an opportunity for transition and direct employment with our client in the long term.
