Life at a concrete plant

The role is responsible, challenging, and highly varied, with no two days being alike. Mixing concrete is a craft, and over time, you will develop an attractive fingertip feel for the right quality. If you don't have this skill yet, we will teach you.

The job involves significant customer contact, sampling, quality and occupational health and safety issues, maintenance and cleaning of the facility, operating wheel loaders, and much more. You will also get the chance to meet customers and visit construction sites where you can see our concrete used in real-world applications.

Normally, between 1–4 people work at our facilities with daily operations and concrete production. The team also includes colleagues in customer service, transport, concrete pumping, etc. In other words, it is a large team that works together to meet customer needs.

We strive for a high level of service for our customers, and therefore seek employees who are open to working varying hours. In some customer projects, we deliver concrete around the clock, and we need colleagues who together can cover all hours of the day. We simply need flexible employees, but we also offer flexibility in return when life demands it – as long as we ensure good service to our customers and a healthy work situation for you as an employee.

We have three facilities in the Gothenburg area that collaborate closely to provide the best possible customer service: Vikan, Ringön, and Mölndal. We will discuss exactly which facility will be your workplace. However, collaboration between the factories is important, and it is part of the role to sometimes work at facilities other than your regular workplace. There is also sampling work at our customer projects in the local area.

Who are you?

• You have a good ability to contribute to good collaboration and service, both internally and in external contacts.
• Our days are changeable, so the ability to see opportunities and work with problem-solving is important.
• Attributes such as engagement, quality awareness, flexibility, and thoroughness are important for delivering a good product and service.
• Maintaining and servicing our facility is part of the assignment, so it is good if you are practical-minded and enjoy contributing to our maintenance work.
• Experience from manufacturing industry or work with concrete or construction is meritorious, but we are primarily looking for our next team player. We are good at concrete manufacturing and also good at teaching!
• A Category B driver's license is required, as you are expected to drive a car at work.
• Education in Factory Concrete Production Class II or higher is very meritorious, but we are also interested in you if you want to learn.
