About the role
As a Purchaser at JOST in Umeå, you will play a central role in developing our purchasing and supplier collaborations. You will work closely with production and be involved in creating efficient and sustainable flows in our daily operations. In a typical week, you will contact suppliers, follow up on deliveries, and participate in improvement work together with production. One day you might handle a specific purchasing case – the next day you are involved in a project or developing new working methods.

The role combines operational work with development and improvements – and you are given significant space to influence how we move forward.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Driving and developing collaboration with existing and new suppliers
• Handling purchasing related to production in Brännland
• Participating in projects and improvement initiatives within purchasing, quality, and logistics
• Negotiating terms and contributing to business decisions
• Collaborating closely with production, quality, logistics, and our global purchasing organization

We believe you have:

• A relevant academic degree in economics/engineering or other experience considered equivalent
• Experience working in an industrial environment, preferably with a connection to purchasing, production, or supplier collaborations
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
