Within the Health and Medical Care Administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are united under a common administration and organized into county and local healthcare areas. The Skellefteå local healthcare area includes the Emergency Department, the Medical and Geriatric Clinic, the Rehabilitation Centre, the Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, the Centre for Surgical Services, as well as primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these units work to provide good and accessible care.

Byske Health Centre belongs to Skellefteå's northern primary care area. Other units include the Kåge, Ursviken, and Morö Backe health centres, with which we collaborate closely. The health centres form our most important base for local care. A joint development journey is underway through the project "Livskraft tillsammans" (Vitality Together), aiming for sustainable primary care with high quality and increased job satisfaction.

In your work with us, you will meet a mix of young and older people. You will work together with colleagues in a well-functioning team, and the work is varied and developmental. There are 4,500 registered patients here. We care about each other's working environment and maintain a constant dialogue on how to develop and improve it. Job Responsibilities

As a General Practitioner with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure.

The specialty of general medicine is characterized by the meeting with the patient throughout life. Competence includes meeting people of all ages with all kinds of health-related problems, as well as independently assessing and treating them, including experiences and complaints not caused by definable diseases. In specialist general medical work, one must also follow an individual's various health problems over time and, in assessing these problems, take into account the person's entire life situation.

You are active in a doctor group and collaborate with other professional groups. Your duties include being available for questions from AT (Basic Training), BT (Basic Training), and ST (Specialist Training) doctors, as well as other staff and students. It may also become relevant to provide more regular supervision for AT, BT, and/or ST doctors. You also participate in team meetings together with employees from other staff categories regarding, for example, rehabilitation of sick leave, diabetes, and asthma/COPD.

You will be assigned patient responsibility but have the opportunity for deepening/profiling and development work within certain frameworks. On-call work is included in the primary care on-call rotation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a specialist doctor in general medicine and who have an interest in working within primary care.

An interest in supervising students and AT, BT, and ST doctors is something we prioritize. You are a present and positive person who, with expert knowledge and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic view that makes the care process better and safer. You enjoy collaborating and being there for other people.

Swedish level C is a requirement.
