Nurses for Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Skellefteå

Within the Health and Medical Care Administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are united in a single administration and organized into county and local healthcare areas. The Skellefteå local healthcare area includes the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, Center for Surgical Operations, as well as primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these units strive to provide good and accessible care.

The Medical and Geriatric Clinic in Skellefteå is one of the hospital's largest clinics, with approximately 300 employees. Our clinic has wards distributed according to medical and geriatric specialties, and the majority of our patients arrive via the emergency department. The clinic also houses outpatient services, including medical, geriatric, and dialysis clinics, day care, and a physiological laboratory. Uniquely for a county sub-regional hospital, the clinic also includes a research unit.

We are now seeking nurses for wards 3, 6, 7, and 26 at our clinic. Ward 3 specializes in stroke and gastroenterology, Ward 6 in cardiology and pulmonology, Ward 7 in hematology, kidney diseases, and diabetes, and Ward 26 in specialized geriatric care. The position involves day, evening, and night shifts, with the option to work only nights. The percentage of employment can be adjusted according to the applicant's preferences. Furthermore, we work on the wards using a modified 3-3 work schedule model, which promotes opportunities for recovery.

In this role, you work both independently and as part of a team with colleagues from various professional categories. As a nurse with us, you are a key person in the collaboration with the patient and their relatives, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, always with the patient's needs and resources in focus.

Qualifications

We are seeking licensed nurses with an interest in the medical and geriatric fields at the ward level. Experience working on care wards within these areas or in other emergency operations is meritorious.

As a person, you are responsible and engaged. You have good collaboration skills with patients, relatives, and colleagues alike. We also look for someone who can work independently, is flexible, and is sensitive to human diversity. Personal suitability is highly valued.
