As a consultant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the business, drive development, and contribute to strengthening the client's competitiveness through professional procurement work.

About the role

As a tactical/strategic buyer, you will work on developing, streamlining, and strengthening the client's procurement function through analysis, supplier dialogues, and business decisions. The role combines tactical responsibility with strategic elements - you will work both on optimizing existing supplier relationships and categories and on shaping future procurement strategies and sourcing solutions.

You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders within areas such as engineering, production, quality, project management, logistics, and supply chain to ensure that procurement strategies support the business's long-term goals.

Depending on the assignment, you may work with:

• Sourcing activities and supplier selection, including requests for quotation, evaluations, and recommendations.
• Negotiations and contract work where you drive price dialogues, commercial terms, and contract renewals.
• Category management and category development with a focus on cost optimization, risk management, and supplier development.
• Market and supplier analyses to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Preparation of decision support and analyses related to procurement strategies, business goals, and cost savings.
• Monitoring of supplier performance regarding quality, delivery security, cost, and sustainability.
• Development of strategic supplier relationships and long-term collaborations.
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure that procurement solutions support the business's needs and future development.
• Contribution to process and flow improvements within procurement and supply chain.
• Support during changes in the supplier base, for example during renegotiations, product changes, global sourcing, or new product introductions.

As a consultant, you will have the opportunity to work in complex and technically advanced operations where procurement has a clear impact on business, profitability, and delivery capability.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are analytical, business-driven, and confident in taking responsibility for both tactical and strategic procurement issues. You have experience in developing supplier relationships, driving negotiations, and working with category or sourcing strategies.

We would like you to have:

• A university or university college degree in procurement, economics, logistics, engineering, supply chain, or equivalent.
• Several years of experience in tactical and/or strategic procurement in an industrial or technical operation.
• Good negotiation skills and experience in supplier evaluations, contract management, and commercial negotiations.
• Experience in category work, sourcing, or supplier development.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working in a data-driven manner.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with business systems and Excel, preferably at an advanced level.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or similar is an advantage.
