At the Swedish Medical Products Agency, we make a difference together. In life and for life. We work for the health of people and animals, for a better Sweden today and in the future.

Are you a pharmacist and want to work in a knowledge-intensive environment? Apply to us at the Regulatory Unit!

Our operations

The Regulatory Unit is part of the Business Area Permits. We consist of approximately 50 employees divided into three groups: the New Application, Amendment, and Follow-up Group. We are responsible for regulatory investigation, advice, and coordination of, among other things, new applications, amendments, and renewals of marketing authorizations.

We are preparing for the implementation of the new EU-wide pharmaceutical legislation, a task that will engage several of the unit's employees. Therefore, we need to strengthen our regular operations and are now looking for more regulatory case handlers.

Your responsibilities

As a regulatory case handler, you are responsible for the regulatory assessment of applications and act as a regulatory expert for certain types of cases. The role involves answering and guiding internal and external stakeholders on regulatory matters. You have a coordinating role for each individual case within the Swedish Medical Products Agency, towards pharmaceutical companies and authorities in Europe. You handle several cases in parallel, which places demands on your ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and communicate. You ensure that investigations are carried out on time, in good collaboration with expert functions, in accordance with current laws and guidelines, and that the results are communicated and documented correctly. The work also includes administration, including schedules, templates, and quality review of documentation.

The tasks may vary and change over time, depending on the operational needs of the unit's different functions.

Your background

We are looking for you who are a pharmacist. You have a very good ability to absorb information and express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English. You generally have good IT skills and find it easy to get into new systems. You have experience working with the coordination of regulatory procedures. We consider it meritorious to have such experience from a relevant authority recently.

Your personal qualities

You are flexible and solution-oriented and are open to changed conditions and situations. You have a very good ability to prioritize, structure, and complete work within set timeframes. You are receptive and enjoy collaborating with others to achieve common results. You have a very good ability to compile and structure information and can communicate it in a trustworthy manner.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
