Skutskär Health Centre is part of Uppsala County Council, where our 1,800 employees work with primary care and health in the county. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at our own health centres, within habilitation services, or via telephone advice through 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our services based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Your Role

Do you want to complete your ST at a health centre where development, work environment, and teamwork are in focus? Then Skutskär Health Centre might be the right place for you. Here, you become part of a operation that actively works to create good conditions for both patients and employees.

We participate in the 1,100-list project, which means we work towards a reasonable and sustainable patient list per physician. This provides better continuity, higher quality in patient care, and a more sustainable work environment.

In recent years, we have implemented several improvements to strengthen the work environment and develop our working methods. We have, among other things, started a more structured teamwork approach where physicians, nurses, assistant nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and other professions collaborate closely around the patients. We believe that good care is created together.

In the role of ST physician, you work in close collaboration with all professions at the health centre. Your tasks consist mainly of outpatient work with a varied patient group and changing duties. The position also includes some on-call and standby duties.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you with a Swedish medical license, preferably with experience from working in primary care and a future interest in developing within general practice. You possess good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, have good knowledge of the Swedish healthcare system, and view good customer service as one of your most important tools in patient meetings. Furthermore, you have a desire to develop the operation together with other employees at the health centre.

Our Operation

Skutskär Health Centre is located a five-minute walk from the train station, making it easy to commute from both Gävle (17 km) and Uppsala (9 miles). All professional areas are represented here, and together we offer all services within the health centre's mandate. Here, all professions work closely together to provide the best possible care.

Together, we have approximately 9,000 registered patients. We are 45 employees offering most services within primary care, including very well-functioning nurse-led clinics. At the health centre, we work to provide our patients with the best possible care. We value a good and stimulating work environment with personalized solutions.
