Görvälns Slott is beautifully situated in a nature reserve by Lake Mälaren in Järfälla, just 2.5 miles from Stockholm Central Station. With its uniquely furnished rooms, the hotel is one of Sweden's finest boutique hotels, where quality, attention to detail, and that little extra have always been our guiding stars and a major part of our success. Görvälns Slott is also known for its high gastronomic profile, and today we are working towards becoming one of Sweden's absolute best sustainable gastronomic destinations.

Today, we grow some of our own vegetables and herbs at Görväln. Anything we cannot find in our own cultivation, garden, or nature reserve is primarily ordered from carefully selected local and regional producers, and secondarily from producers who manufacture sustainably in Europe. We always strive to offer our guests sustainable gastronomic experiences.

We are now looking for a Sous Chef who believes that the best thing is to personally pick sun-ripened vegetables from the garden before the evening service, and who believes that meat and fish should be purchased with great consideration for people, animals, and our environment.

Are you our new Sous Chef?

Are you an experienced and skilled chef with a burning interest in food and sustainable gastronomy? Do you see yourself as a leader with high demands on your product, yourself, and your colleagues? Then you are who we are looking for.

You must have chef training and have worked as a chef for several years, as well as a sous chef for at least 3 years. You have experience creating menus, making purchases, and leading teams, and you understand the importance of good teamwork in the kitchen.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Chef training and extensive knowledge of international and Swedish cooking.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar type of restaurant/restaurant.
  • A great interest in food and drink.
  • High ambitions within your profession.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Work shifts are scheduled on a rolling basis, both weekdays and weekends. Salary according to agreement. We naturally have a collective agreement. A driver's license and car, moped, or other vehicle is an advantage as it is a bit of a walk to the nearest bus.
