We are now looking for a software developer who wants to help develop the next generation of test platforms for complex, safety-critical systems within the aviation and defense industry.

About the role:

As a Java software developer, you will become part of an agile team responsible for the development and further development of internal test platforms and test tools. The platforms are used to verify and quality-assure advanced embedded systems that are part of modern electronic warfare solutions for combat aircraft. The role combines software development, test automation, and technical problem-solving. You will not only develop the platform itself but also work closely with integrators, systems engineers, and other development teams to understand the systems to be tested and create effective test solutions. The work is characterized by long development cycles, technical complexity, and close collaboration between different disciplines.

Examples of tasks:

• Develop and further develop Java-based test platforms and internal tools
• Create automated test cases for the verification of advanced systems
• Develop robust, long-term sustainable, and quality-assured code
• Debug and analyze complex technical problems in both software and hardware-near environments
• Actively participate in code reviews and continuously improve development processes
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and systems engineers in cross-functional teams
• Contribute to the development of working methods, CI/CD processes, and technical solutions

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a university degree in a relevant field, such as computer science
• Has at least 3 years of experience in software development in Java or C#
• Has experience working in agile development environments
• Speaks and writes fluent Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work

Merits:

• Very good knowledge of Java
• Experience in test development or test automation of embedded systems
• Knowledge and experience in C, C++, and Python
• Experience with Maven, Jenkins, Git, or Eclipse RCP
• Experience with CI/CD and modern development processes
• Interest in advanced technical systems, aviation technology, or defense technology
• Experience using AI-based development tools to streamline work

About the employment:

This is a consultancy assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the security clearance regulations in effect at the time. For positions where the customer has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
