About the Role

As a Category Purchasing Manager, you ensure that AP&T has an excellent supplier network that supplies AP&T with products and services according to agreed terms. You are expected to primarily initiate, involve, and drive proactive improvement work in purchasing, where both internal and external stakeholders together challenge and improve current solutions and ways of working.

The role includes domestic and international travel of approximately 10–20 days per year.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development of AP&T’s suppliers within selected categories in a structured manner.
  • Work cross-functionally within AP&T to optimize the costs of purchased products.
  • Develop our supplier network to ensure delivery capacity, handle inquiries, negotiate contracts, and agreements.
  • Act as a project buyer for external machinery.
  • Develop and improve AP&T’s processes.
  • Handle major deviations and implement necessary improvements.
  • Improve supplier performance, collaboration, and integration to create better results. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating supplier performance based on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

  • Relevant university education in economics, logistics, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Documented experience in purchasing roles involving negotiations and supplier contacts.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (primarily Excel).
  • Valid driver’s license (Category B).

Employment Information

  • Salary – Monthly salary. According to agreement.
  • Employment conditions – Full-time 100%, daytime hours.
  • Start date – According to agreement.
