Job Responsibilities

Storumán Municipality is recruiting staff for our elderly care operations in Tärnaby, located 130 kilometers outside of Storuman and 20 kilometers from Hemavan. The work is performed within home care services, our LSS (Support and Service Act) operations as a personal assistant, or at the elderly care facilities Vikbacka and Stefansgården, which have a dementia focus, as well as at the short-term care facility Granhöjden, which also has so-called emergency beds. The work schedule includes days, evenings, and nights, weekdays, and weekends. The job involves heavy lifting, and we provide training on how to perform these tasks as ergonomically as possible.

Qualifications

Education and previous experience in similar work within elderly care and LSS services are meritorious, and great importance will be placed on personal suitability. You should be positive, committed to the role, possess good teamwork skills, and be able to take initiative. A driver's license is required for work within home care services and the night patrol. Proficiency in Swedish is important to us. We have a language requirement equivalent to a passing grade in Swedish at the ninth grade level. In case of uncertainty, we will conduct a written language test.

Before an employment contract is signed, you must submit an extract from the criminal record register, which you can order from the Swedish Police Authority. The type of criminal record check required is for work in residential homes for youth (HVB-hem).
