What does the role of Nursing Assistant at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?

A nursing assistant at Norlandia is a valuable key person, and we are looking for you who are skilled in your professional role and enjoy meeting people in various situations. Together in a team with nurses, rehabilitation staff, and management, we collaborate around the resident to provide a good life every day.

We are looking for you with a genuine interest in the elderly, where your main tasks are to design safe and secure personal care and support. You support the resident in their daily life and create conditions for a secure and meaningful everyday life. As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for providing residents with good, high-quality care and support in accordance with what has been agreed upon with the resident in the implementation plan.

This includes, among other things:

• Working as a contact person based on Norlandia's concept "Your Day".
• Personal care and support, and utilizing the residents' own resources.
• Working based on Norlandia's concept "Tasty Meal" so that our residents appreciate the food and the meal experience adds value to everyday life.
• Documentation according to the Social Services Act; maintaining social journals and creating and following up on implementation plans.
• Planning, offering, and conducting daily activities, outdoor visits, entertainment, crafts, cultural activities, etc., both individually and in groups.
• Performing service tasks such as apartment cleaning, laundry, escorting, and shopping.
• Receiving and performing delegated tasks, such as medication delegation.
• Taking responsibility in ombudsman roles.
• Actively participating in the organization's quality and improvement work.

About Kvarnåsen Elderly Care Home

Kvarnåsen has 93 apartments distributed across nine units. We have units focused on somatic care as well as dementia care. Kvarnåsen is located in central Årjäng.

• You must have proof of the right to use the professional title "nursing assistant" from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen).
• Previous experience in care and support is meritorious.
• You need to have good skills in documentation.
• You must have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• We would like you to have good computer skills.
• We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations.

Other Information

Employment Type: Fixed-term until 2026-06-30 (or as agreed)

Scope: 75%, or as agreed.

Start Date: According to agreement.

Probation: We apply a 6-month probation period.

We apply individual salary setting and have collective agreements. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

In the event of employment, you must be able to produce an extract from the criminal record register. You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
