About Villa Hovås
We are a residence with heart in the right place, where we all go to work with the residents' best interests in mind. The entire residence is dementia-oriented, and 51 people live here spread over three floors. There is a generous party hall and lounge on the ground floor, a salon for hair care and treatments, and a large rooftop terrace with planting boxes, greenhouses, and a pergola. Each department has a shared kitchen and pleasant spaces for socializing and meals. There is a shared outdoor area and balconies. We know that if you are happy at work, the residents are happy too!
We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that everyone working here is trained in dementia and interaction through Vardaga's Dementia Academy.
We apply a needs-based preference schedule. This means that as an employee, you have the opportunity to influence your own working hours, based on needs and preferences. We create schedules for 10 weeks at a time.
We have a collaboration with the company Ung Omsorg. This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities to add value to the lives of our residents.
You have a group leader who spends most of their time working closely with you in the operations. Becoming a group leader can also be a career opportunity for you as a nursing assistant.
We work with animals in care here and have regular visits from our therapy dog, Kompis.
As a nursing assistant, you are incredibly important!
Your task is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see each person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you learn a lot about care, aging, and how to interact with people.
You are closest to the resident and thus have a key role in the team with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. You also participate in care planning and write social documentation.
With heart in the right place
With us, you get to work in a strong culture driven by our vision: We make the world a little better, one person at a time. It is extremely important that you share our vision and our four values:
Respect: Here, everyone has the right to a dignified life with physical, mental, and social well-being.
Responsibility: Here we have employees who dare and want to, and managers who listen and lead.
Simplicity: Here it is easy to influence and to be an employee or customer.
Knowledge: Here we reflect, learn from each other, and utilize everyone's competence.
Together, we continuously work to ensure that our values permeate our interactions, both with each other and with everyone living here.
Your experience and knowledge
We would like you to be a trained nursing assistant and have worked a few years in elderly care. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are also meritorious. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you share our values and have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.
We believe that you:
- are attracted by varied work and enjoy meeting people in different situations.
- are a creative person who dares to think for yourself and take responsibility.
