Birka Gotland is the Baltic Sea's new pleasure cruise ship, offering recreation and experiences for the everyday traveler. The vessel is operated by Gotland Alandia Cruises, established in 2023 as a joint venture between the shipping companies Viking Line and Gotlandsbolaget. Birka Gotland offers cruises and regular routes between Stockholm, Mariehamn, and Visby starting from spring 2024.

Our kitchen – a tightly knit team of approximately 40 people – is now looking for new colleagues. We are looking for you if you are an experienced kitchen assistant/cold prep cook, or if you perhaps lack kitchen experience but are accustomed to physically demanding work and want to work in the dishwashing section. Regardless of your background, you are flexible, stress-resistant, and eager to serve the best food in the Baltic Sea together with us.

Working on Birka Gotland

• A shift onboard can range from a single cruise up to 14 days.
• We work on a 1:1 schedule, where every work period is followed by an equally long paid leave.
• Safety duties are included in all roles.
• The safety language onboard is English.
• Work clothes and all meals onboard are included, and you have your own cabin.

We are currently primarily looking for substitutes for short or longer assignments, but for the right person, there may be opportunities for longer-term contracts or permanent employment.
