Job Description
You now have the opportunity to join us on a unique and exciting journey as a Technical Project Manager - Network for the Stockholm Bypass (Förbifart Stockholm)! The Stockholm Bypass is one of the world's longest road traffic tunnels. Eltel is a collaboration partner to Yunex Traffic, and together we have been commissioned by the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) to install telecommunications, control, and monitoring systems for the new section of the E4, the Stockholm Bypass.
As the Technical Project Manager for Network, you will be the system owner for the LCP system that we are installing in the Stockholm Bypass tunnel. You will plan, lead, and follow up on the work together with the team working on the network. You will also be responsible for steering the system design work from a technical and economically viable perspective. The Technical Project Manager also drives coordination issues between the client, subcontractors, and internally. Do you want to be part of one of Stockholm's largest current projects in a role where you get to lead, coordinate, and deepen your technical expertise? Welcome to us!
In this recruitment process, we are collaborating with Randstad. If you have questions regarding the position or the recruitment process, please contact recruitment consultant Linda Cooper at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]).
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the client's requirements for the LCP system are met.
- Ensure that design, procurement, and material delivery take place according to the current production schedule.
- Be responsible for coordinating activities related to the LCP plan and clarify any questions among all involved parties, both internally and externally.
- Within the team, develop requirement specifications regarding function, quality, and environment for material tenders, and collaborate with procurement during the tender process.
- Support the design work to ensure quality, documentation, and material deliveries.
- Participate in, and if necessary drive, work related to ÄTA (Additional Work), disturbances, and notifications (UR).
- Actively identify and prevent risks in the installation work and take measures to address deficiencies by establishing new working methods and solutions that prevent repeated errors.
- Participate in and drive testing activities according to current routines.
- Act as the contact person for the client regarding LCP.
- Actively stay updated on developments within the technology field and, in consultation with the client, manage and improve the final result.
- Ensure that the support function within the organization functions and meets established requirements and expectations.
- Conduct the training required by the contract for the client.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have experience in project operations and possess broad knowledge within networking. As a person, you are solution-focused and communicative to drive the work forward as a team. In this project, you will have many different interfaces and collaborate with several different teams, which requires the ability to be both social and pedagogical. You thrive in a role where you can utilize your initiative and make decisions that benefit both the schedule and the business.
- Relevant academic degree/university education is meritorious, or equivalent experience.
- Documented Cisco training.
- At least 5 years of practical experience in network-related project management.
- A deep interest in technology.
- Very good skills in Swedish and English, as both languages are used daily at work.
- Class B driver's license.
- A prerequisite for employment is a passed background check (including, among other things, checks for legal disputes and financial status).
Furthermore, we consider it meritorious if you have:
- Broad technical knowledge within electricity, telecommunications, control, and monitoring systems, preferably within intelligent transport systems.
- Experience working in contracts and contract law, e.g., ABA99, AB04, ABT09.
