About Us

At Närhälsan Frölunda Health Centre, you will become part of a wonderful team working for the health of residents through counseling, treatment, and health promotion work. The health centre is located in a modern shopping centre at Frölunda Torg in West Gothenburg. Our approximately 12,000 registered patients reflect the district's demographics with a palette of different cultures, socio-economic backgrounds, and ages. Today, we have around 45 employees from various professions. We offer you stimulating and meaningful work with competent colleagues, clear leadership, and development opportunities.

In addition to a clinic with specialists in general medicine and district nurses, we have diabetes, asthma/COPD, and blood pressure clinics. We also have a home visit unit and a psychosocial team. We are responsible for home nursing care, LSS/BSS (support and service according to the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments / Social Services Act), and special housing in the area. We also have a child health centre which is part of Gothenburg's oldest family centre, and we are linked to PTC, Närhälsan's centre for clinical trials of medicines.

About the Job

Your duties at the health centre span a broad field and cover the area of general medicine where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work health-promoting, advisory, and therapeutic in primary care, both via phone, home visits, digital healthcare meetings, and at the clinic.

The work takes place through both emergency and planned operations. You work largely independently with your own clinic, where you triage, treat, and follow up with patients. Close collaboration occurs with your colleagues at the unit and cross-professionally in the team, as well as with other actors such as home nursing care and other specialist care. Together with the health centre management, you are responsible for developing and driving the operations forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so mentoring students is also included as part of your role at the health centre.

About You

You are a registered nurse, preferably with specialist training as a district nurse. Previous experience from working in primary care is meritorious, but we also welcome you if you are newly graduated.

We are looking for you who take initiative in work and are confident in making your own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can prioritize your tasks effectively.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, sensitive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you thrive with teamwork and have a natural ability to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts in your work. You can express yourself well both verbally and in writing, and are an engaged and good listener at both digital meetings and visits at the clinic. We would like you to have an interest in digitalization and operational development.

Travel for work purposes occurs, a B-driver's license is required.

About the Recruitment Process

Selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call current candidates for a telephone interview. Thereafter, the hiring manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them to an interview at the health centre.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that answers to questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalized answers – this so that we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the result was.
