Cykelcafé Le Mond has been operating for just over twelve years, run by passionate coffee and cycling enthusiasts.

Le Mond is a food café focusing on delicious, well-prepared dishes made from the finest ingredients. We were previously KRAV-certified and mostly serve vegetarian food.

We serve breakfast and offer a lunch menu on weekdays and a brunch menu on weekends. Opening hours are weekdays 08:00–16:00 and weekends 09:30–16:00.

Our weekday team consists of two kitchen assistants and a full-time barista, along with approximately 15 part-time staff who work during the weekends.

We speak Swedish and English at Le Mond. We have relatively low staff turnover and a shared passion for food, coffee, and service.

We are currently looking for a kitchen assistant to work primarily on weekends, but also on weekdays.

Start date: ASAP

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working in a kitchen at a café or restaurant. OBS: Experience is required!
• Is detail-oriented and passionate about ensuring guests have a maximum experience.
• Takes responsibility for the energy in the room. You bring positive vibes, are inclusive, chill, socially skilled, and create an atmosphere where people want to hang out often.
• Are a hard worker. Working at a café is fun and social, but let's be honest: it is a long and tiring day involving cleaning, tidying, closing, and repeating tasks. Half the work is fun, half is tedious, but all tasks are equally important.
• Focuses on details. A café consists of 1,000 small components that must be just right. Adjust, screw, set, feel, squint, smell, listen.
• Are responsible and ensure the kitchen is spotless at all times.
• Are a good communicator and receiver of information. You reply to messages in the group chat and communicate effectively with colleagues and employers.
• Can communicate adequately in Swedish (café Swedish).

If you perform according to the above, you will have a great and easygoing "hands-off" boss and accommodating colleagues. However, if you slack off on your tasks, you will have a boss who tirelessly nags you until the details are correct.

Working hours: Weekdays approx. 07:00–21:00 (Monday–Friday, day/evening shifts) and weekends 08:30–17:00. It is important that you are available to work during the summer.

We are covered by a collective agreement, and salaries and terms are regulated.
