We are now looking for an engaged dental hygienist who wants to make a difference

Main tasks and responsibilities

At Folktandvården Vänersborg, you will meet patients of all ages with various care needs. As a dental hygienist with us, you play a vital role in ensuring that patients feel well-treated and secure during their visit. You will utilize your full range of skills, and the role also requires creativity, empathy, and a service-oriented mindset.

The position includes among other things:

• Being an important part of the clinic's health-promoting and preventive dental care for all ages
• Conducting own examinations and identifying, assessing, and planning appropriate oral health care interventions
• Mobile dental care at nursing homes

We are a clinical training site (VFU) and host students from the dentistry and dental hygiene programs at the University of Gothenburg. Supervision/assistance of students may also be part of the role.

Currently, we have a receptionist, 5 dental hygienists, 11 dentists, 15 dental nurses, and 1 receptionist working here. We also have two coordinators. Please read more about our opening hours and how to find us: Folktandvården Vänersborg (https://www.folktandvarden.se/vasteragotaland/vasterborg).

Competency requirements and profile

• Licensed dental hygienist
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry
• Swedish language skills equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school or Swedish C1 in both speech and writing
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an efficient and smart manner
• Ability to give a stable and calm impression even when busy
• Ability to collaborate and relate to other people in a listening and empathetic way
• Contribute to the development of the business by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored supervision program during your first year. The supervision is part of our development program, which also includes network meetings, team and communication training, and observation at specialist or general dental clinics.

About the recruitment process

If you are not already employed by us, you will be contacted by recruiters from the HR department for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are planned for weeks 25-26.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in suspicion and burden registers before employment.
