We are now looking for a dental hygienist who wants to make a difference

Main duties and responsibilities

At Folktandvården Vårgårda, you will meet patients of all ages with different care needs. As a dental hygienist with us, you play an important role in ensuring that patients feel well received and safe during their visit. You will utilize your full competence, while the position also requires creativity, empathy, and a service-oriented mindset.

The position includes, among other things:

• Being an important part of the clinic's health-promoting and preventive dental care for all ages
• Conducting own examinations and identifying, assessing, and planning appropriate oral health care interventions
• Outreach dental care at nursing homes

Folktandvården Vårgårda has 7 treatment rooms and we have a total of 16 employees. The clinic is located about a 2-minute walk from the train station and is easily accessible by public transport. Here works a mixed group of dentists, dental nurses, and dental hygienists.

For us, joy, engagement, and community are important. Furthermore, we are facing an exciting future where a completely new clinic is planned to be built.

We are now looking for a dental hygienist for Vårgårda who thinks it is obvious to have open doors, that the clinic is a shared responsibility, that we help each other, and have fun together. The patient base is approximately 7,300 patients, many of whom are children and young adults. With us, the treatment panorama is very broad, and you will meet patients with different care needs and of all ages.

Competence requirements and profile

• Licensed dental hygienist
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry
• Swedish language skills equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school or Swedish C1 in both speech and writing
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and smart way
• Ability to give a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to other people in a listening manner
• Contribute to the development of the operation by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work.

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored supervision program during the first year. The supervision is part of our development program, which also includes network meetings, team and communication training, as well as observation at a specialist or general dental clinic.

About the recruitment process

The first step in the recruitment process is a digital interview with HR. After the application period ends, the clinic manager selects candidates and invites them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 25-26.

Folktandvården Västra Götaland Region conducts checks in the suspicion and burden registers before employment.
