Regional Psychiatry and Habilitation coordinates regional healthcare for adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and habilitation in Region Västernorrland. The regional healthcare operations are conducted at three hospitals, Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik, as well as at several clinics located in various locations in the county. The area has approximately 700 employees.
The Addiction Team is a county-wide team linked to the psychiatric inpatient care at Ward 7 in Sundsvall. The team acts as a link between psychiatric inpatient care, intermediate care, and outpatient care, primary care, municipalities, healthcare, and assists all actors with consultative support, serving as a knowledge center.
The team plans care before, during, and after inpatient care and forms an important link in the care chain for the individual.
