About the roleYou will step into a situation where a large and complex regional operation is transitioning from governing principles and target images to the practical implementation of a cohesive architecture work. The focus is on driving and facilitating the first version of the 'Architecture Compass' as well as establishing a group-wide Enterprise Architecture (EA) function that creates early value through prioritized initiatives.
The environment is characterized by many operations with different working methods, maturity levels, and prerequisites within IT architecture. Here, you need to create direction, capture needs, and translate them into structures, target architecture, and working methods that work in practice. You will combine strategic enterprise architecture with change management in a role where you influence governance, collaboration, and concrete deliveries.
Responsibilities- You drive and facilitate the work with the first version of the Architecture Compass and the initial delivery packages.
- You establish and further develop a group-wide EA function together with leading architects from various parts of the operation.
- You develop and refine the architecture vision, target image, target architecture, transition plans, and alternative pathways for prioritized initiatives.
- You contribute to integrating architecture work into different delivery models, such as agile, sequential, and hybrid setups.
- You develop common guidelines, architecture artifacts, and working methods that strengthen a cohesive IT architecture.
- You support decision-makers with analyses, visualizations, and materials related to architecture, prioritization, and consequences.
- You coach architecture teams and individual architects, as well as anchor status, results, and next steps with managers and leaders at various levels.
- You contribute to environmental scanning and collaboration that strengthens long-term architecture work.
- You have experience with strategic and tactical architecture work at the group level in large, complex regions or government agencies.
- You are well acquainted with guidelines and working methods for IT architecture in large, complex regions or government agencies.
- You have at least 15 years of experience establishing and leading architecture functions in a leading role, such as Chief Architect, Head of EA, or CIO.
- You have at least 15 years of experience in practical architecture work within change initiatives, such as developing architecture vision, target architecture, and transition plans.
- You have experience with several different delivery models, such as agile, sequential, or hybrid, and with integrating architecture work into the development process.
- You have experience with model- and architecture-driven change work in large digital transformations.
- You have experience with frameworks, methods, and tools for architecture work and architecture governance within group, business, information, application, and technology domains, such as eSams guidelines for architecture governance, Inera's architecture community, and TOGAF.
- You have at least 5 years of experience designing, delivering, managing, and improving IT services according to, for example, ITIL or COBIT.
- You have at least 10 years of experience in change management in large, complex organizations.
- You have at least 15 years of experience training and coaching architecture teams and architects, with documented pedagogical ability.
- You have at least 10 years of experience producing, presenting, visualizing, communicating, and anchoring status and results to managers and leaders at various levels.
- You hold a certification in IT architecture, such as Certified Chief Architect, Certified Business Architect, or Certified IT Architect.
- You work independently, collaborate well, and handle multiple initiatives in parallel.
- You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
