Your Role

As a Systems Safety Engineer at Saab Dynamics, you will work on the development of advanced defense products, primarily missiles.

Your role with us involves ensuring that our products meet the requirements and expectations that our customers place on the safety of our products for the user – system safety. You achieve this by actively participating in the technical work throughout the entire development process, from identifying product safety risks, developing safety requirements, design analysis, verification of the final product, including analysis of requirement fulfillment.

The expectations for you as a Systems Safety Engineer at our company are that you have sufficient breadth to learn to understand the whole picture of our products, but also sufficient depth to communicate how the system is intended to function, with those responsible for subsystems and components in the product.

You will move within many technical areas, and your contacts within the company will be broad. At your disposal, we have controlled processes in our business system and method descriptions in our internal databases. You often collaborate in project form with other engineers from different parts of the development unit within Saab Dynamics.

Our projects vary in size, which places high demands on your flexibility as you may need to work on several projects simultaneously.

Your Profile

You are a university degree holder (or equivalent) with a number of years of work experience, preferably with experience or interest in systematic product safety work where the focus has been on one or more of the areas software, mechanics, and electronics. It is an advantage if you have experience working according to an established standard in the field, e.g., MIL-STD 882E or equivalent. If you have previous experience from the automotive industry, we also see that as an advantage.

It is important that you have a sense of the overall perspective, good collaboration skills, and independently drive your work forward. You communicate well in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the currently valid regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
