Your Role

As a Systems Safety Engineer at Saab Dynamics, you will work on the development of advanced defense products, primarily missiles.

Your role involves ensuring that our products meet the safety requirements and expectations set by our customers for the end-user – system safety. You will achieve this through active participation in the technical work throughout the entire development process, from identifying product safety risks and developing safety requirements, to analysis during the design phase, verification of the final product, and analysis of requirement fulfillment.

We expect you, as a Systems Safety Engineer, to have sufficient breadth to learn and understand the holistic view of our products, as well as sufficient depth to communicate how the system is intended to function with those responsible for subsystems and components.

You will operate across many technical areas, and your internal network within the company will be broad. You will have access to structured processes in our business system and methodology descriptions in our internal databases. You will often collaborate in project teams with other engineers from various parts of the development unit within Saab Dynamics.

Our projects vary in size, which places high demands on your flexibility, as you may need to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Your Profile

You are a university-level engineer (or equivalent) with several years of professional experience, preferably with experience or interest in systematic product safety work focusing on software, mechanics, and electronics. Experience working according to established standards in the field, such as MIL-STD 882E or equivalent, is considered an asset. Previous experience from the automotive industry is also viewed as a merit.

It is important that you have a holistic perspective, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to drive your work forward independently. You communicate well in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance process according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
