Your Role

We are now looking for a Systems Engineer who wants to develop and further develop complex marine training systems for the education of submarine crews - solutions that contribute to increased security and operational capability. In the role of Systems Engineer, you will have a central and developing function in our delivery projects. You work through the entire lifecycle within Systems Engineering - from early requirements analysis and design to integration, verification, and commissioning with the customer. The role combines technical depth with a holistic perspective and gives you ample room to work independently and take initiative, while always having experienced colleagues close by.

Your main tasks include:

• Designing and breaking down customer requirements into functional, technical solutions.
• Leading and following up on requirements verification throughout the development cycle.
• Integrating software and hardware, and working practically with testing and troubleshooting in our training facilities.
• Acting as a technical boundary and collaborating with project managers, procurement, and external subcontractors.
• Participating in installation and commissioning on-site with the customer, and contributing to the further development of delivered systems.
• Planning smaller projects and work packages, and leading software teams according to agile principles when needed.

The position is located at our office in Helsingborg, and the work is performed on-site. Shorter travels may occur in the role as needed, primarily within Skåne.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who thrive at the intersection of technology, people, and structure. You are curious, confident in taking initiative, and see collaboration as the best way to broaden perspectives and find sustainable paths forward. Since we work in a complex environment, you are methodical and have an easy time communicating with different types of people.

We believe you have experience or interest in:

• Systems Engineering or similar systems work across a product's entire lifecycle.
• Requirements work, testing, integration, or verification.
• Agile working methods (such as Scrum and SAFe) and experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
• Good ability to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English.

If you have also encountered tools such as IBM DOORS, Docker, Git, Linux/Windows environments, or have experience with software development and simulation, that is a plus - but absolutely not a requirement. The most important thing is your willingness to learn and contribute to the team.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
