About the role
As an IT Systems Engineer, you work with onboard IT systems and associated infrastructure in technically advanced and business-critical platforms. You build and maintain robust, secure, and high-performance IT environments in complex, distributed systems, where in-house developed components are combined with commercial solutions. You collaborate closely with systems engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the systems meet both operational and technical requirements.

Summary of responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and verify IT systems and infrastructure
• Contribute to implementation through scripting, automation, and system configuration
• Analyze and review technical solutions and system architectures
• Create and maintain system documentation (design, instructions, policies)
• Support the integration of internal and external systems and continuously improve performance, reliability, and manageability

You are a curious and solution-oriented engineer or developer who thrives in a cross-functional and collaborative environment. You have a knack for moving from requirements and analysis to practical, working solutions, and you value teamwork, knowledge sharing, and an open and positive engineering culture.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in software development, IT, or a related field – or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with IT systems, software development, or infrastructure work
• Experience or interest in several of the following: version control (Git), scripting or programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.), Linux and/or Windows environments, virtualization (KVM, Hyper-V), Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet), and Microsoft Active Directory
• Very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Ability to undergo and pass a security clearance check prior to employment, which may entail citizenship requirements

• Experience with system architecture or technical design
• Knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps practices
• Experience in product development environments
• Experience working in complex, distributed systems
