Rinkeby School is growing, and Stockholm is developing and changing for the future. Our ambitions are high. Over the past three years, we have expanded our operations by adding one additional class per year, which means we are now four parallel classes strong.

We are now looking for you with qualifications to teach in Natural Sciences (NO) and Mathematics, who want to help shape Rinkeby School for the future.

Rinkeby School is a municipal school in Stockholm City. We welcome all students in grades 7–9 of the comprehensive school, as well as students in adapted comprehensive school grades F–9. The school is located right next to Rinkeby Center with good transportation connections, both by subway and buses to commuter train stations.

Our operational idea is to provide students with good conditions to develop their abilities in all subjects through small class sizes, high teacher density, and 100% certified teachers. Through digital learning materials and tools, as well as a foundation in language- and knowledge-developing working methods, students receive extra support based on where they are right now. Rinkeby School is a school characterized by diversity, where staff and students work digitally and with language development in mind to facilitate understanding and communication.

Your Role

Assignment and Job Description

After implementing "Collaboration for the Best School" together with the Swedish Schools Inspectorate and Stockholm University, Rinkeby School has reorganized meeting structures, schedules, and teaching. Today, two lessons in theoretical subjects within a grade level always run in parallel to enable teachers to plan and collaborate together.

Competency-enhancing initiatives will continue to be carried out in the form of workshops, seminars, and supervision. Collegial cooperation is extremely important at Rinkeby School, and above all, our common professional language regarding learning and teaching. At Rinkeby School, good teaching means that we meet every individual at the right level based on our own pedagogical principles through methods for knowledge- and language-developing working methods. We want students to feel involved and know what goals and purposes the work has. Within our annual subject teams, teachers meet every week to plan and assess together.

You are a qualified teacher in Natural Sciences (NO) and Mathematics for grades 7–9.

We are looking for you who have good communication skills and a positive attitude towards students, colleagues, and parents. You have pedagogical experience and the ability to communicate with students so that there are good conditions for learning. We are looking for a teacher who, together with their mentor group and all other staff at the school, works for the best possible environment and teaching situation for our students. You are experienced in working with digital tools on different platforms and equipment.

Above all, you want to work in teams regarding the different subjects and grades and see great value in joint planning, collaboration, and joint assessment with other teachers. You will also be part of a mentor team for grade 8 with seven other mentors and together be responsible for approximately 75 students.

The position is a permanent position starting from August 10, 2026.
