We are looking for you – a System Design Engineer who wants to take a central role in an R&D team. You will help define the future electronic solutions within our client's product portfolio – from idea to finished product. This is a role for you who not only designs – but also structures, explains, and drives technical decisions forward at a high pace.

About the role

As a System Design Engineer, you are responsible for the overall system design of the client's products. You ensure that solutions are technically robust, cost-effective, and feasible for industrialization.

A central part of the role is to produce clear and structured specifications, both for internal development work and for projects where the client outsources all or part of the development. You need to be able to translate needs into concrete, well-thought-out materials that others can work efficiently from.

You work with short development cycles, which requires you to be able to switch between analysis and practical work – and quickly drive solutions forward.

Your main responsibilities

• Drive and develop new system solutions and product concepts
• Responsible for the overall design of electronic systems (including architecture and component selection)
• Produce structured specifications and design materials for both internal development and external partners
• Ensure that materials are clear, complete, and executable without misunderstanding
• Actively evaluate and justify technical choices (e.g., chip selection, RF and audio solutions)
• Lead and follow up on PCBA design (internally and via partners)
• Work practically with prototypes, lab tests, and verification
• Quickly test ideas, iterate, and drive improvements
• Ensure that design meets requirements within e.g., EMC, RF, and acoustics
• Produce technical documentation for production and suppliers
• Drive changes and improvements in existing products

We are looking for you who…

• Have a strong technical foundation in electronics and system design
• Have several years of experience in product development
• Are accustomed to writing clear, structured specifications and technical materials
• Can package complex technology so that both internal teams and external suppliers can work efficiently from it
• Are hands-on and thrive in a lab environment, where you test, measure, and iterate solutions
• Work quickly and solution-oriented – and drive the work forward even in uncertainty
• Are confident in making technical decisions and can explain and justify them clearly
• Dare to question and improve existing solutions in a constructive way
• Are structured and methodical, even at a high pace

Technical competence

We would like you to have experience in several of the following areas:

• System design and architecture within embedded electronics
• PCBA design (Eagle, Altium, or equivalent)
• EMC design
• RF design
• Audio, acoustics, and audio processing
• Programming / test environments (e.g., LabVIEW or similar)

Qualifications

• Civil engineer / university degree in electronics or equivalent experience
• Several years of experience in electronics development in a product development environment
• Fluent English in speech and writing
