About the Company
Vattenfall is one of Europe's largest producers and retailers of electricity and heat. Our main markets are Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and the United Kingdom. The Vattenfall Group employs approximately 21,000 people. For over a hundred years, we have electrified industries, delivered energy to homes, and transformed lives through innovation.
About the Role
Do you want to work with modern technology in a team where people, collaboration, and quality are as important as the code? We are now looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer with strong expertise in Angular, who also thrives working broadly across the entire stack. With us, you will not only deepen your frontend skills – you will take responsibility for the whole picture, from user experience to backend logic and cloud infrastructure.
You will become a key person in a cross-functional, agile team where you will jointly develop robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions from start to finish.
Even though Angular is your primary strength, we see you as a fullstack developer in practice – someone who likes to understand and influence the entire flow, from UI to backend and integrations.
You will primarily work with:
- Developing and further developing frontend components in Angular
- Creating intuitive, accessible, and performance-efficient user interfaces
- Actively contributing to backend development in Java and Spring Boot
- Designing and building entire end-to-end solutions together with the team
- Implementing and working with Kafka in event-driven architectures
- Participating in architecture and design decisions with a holistic perspective
- Mentoring and supporting colleagues through code reviews and coaching
- Participating in IT on-call duty (24/7) according to schedule
Requirements
We are looking for you who are self-reliant and responsible with strong personal drive. You thrive in a role where you deliver independently while simultaneously contributing to strengthening the team around you. You have a communicative and inclusive approach in collaborations and are both structured and solution-oriented in how you tackle your tasks. Furthermore, you have an interest in supporting and developing others, such as in a mentor role. You are also accustomed to working agilely and in cross-functional teams.
We would like you to have:
- Very good experience with Angular and modern frontend development
- Experience working as a fullstack developer, with an understanding of the entire application flow
- Good knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
- Experience with Azure and cloud-based solutions
- Familiarity with integrations and message-based systems (e.g., Kafka)
- Ability to balance technology choices, performance, and user experience
- Clear communication skills in both Swedish and English, orally and in writing
Additional Information
What We Offer
- A role where you get to work as a real fullstack developer – not just in title
- A team that values knowledge, collaboration, and respect
- An inclusive climate where different perspectives are appreciated
- Opportunity to influence technology choices and working methods
- A culture where it is safe to ask questions and develop
In addition to helping shape the smart energy society of the future, we offer you a developing and varied job with many contacts. At Vattenfall, it is important to us that work and private life have a good balance, which is why we offer flexibility in work as well as the possibility to work from home when needed. We also have many other employee benefits, such as reduced working hours, favorable occupational pension agreements, parental leave supplements, and more. Read more about our benefits here.
