Responsibilities and Tasks

As a Data Analyst, you actively work with raw and processed data and data analysis to develop and maintain data analyses and selection models. The role also involves presenting the analysis work and its results. Additionally, the role entails creating conditions to supply other agencies with data from the Payment Authority.

You identify data needs, develop the business, and create conditions for secure and efficient data analysis work. The role involves cross-functional work that requires close collaboration with other agencies and stakeholders.

The role of Data Analyst is located within the Data Analysis Department. The department's mission is to develop and maintain data analyses that identify individual incorrect payments from welfare authorities and other actors. To conduct these analyses, the agency has a comprehensive data warehouse that is being gradually expanded. The department also works on conducting data analyses within inter-agency cooperation against organized crime.

We are looking for someone who has

  • An academic education in statistics, systems science, or another education we deem relevant.
  • At least three years of recent work experience in independently formulating questions against large datasets using SQL.
  • At least three years of recent work experience in conducting data analysis using programming, such as Python.
  • Experience in presenting analysis work and its results.
  • Good proficiency in Swedish.

It is an advantage if you also have

  • Experience in conducting risk-based selections.
  • Experience with an agile working method.

Skills and Competencies

To succeed in the role of Data Analyst, you are goal- and result-oriented. You have a creative approach and are proactive. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills, are pedagogical, and possess strong problem-solving analytical abilities.

Other Information

The agency is located in Stockholm in modern premises near Gullmarsplan. Security clearance may be required, which necessitates Swedish citizenship. The position is a permanent full-time employment. A six-month probationary period may apply.
