The Role

As a nursing assistant in home care, you will have a valued and important role. You make a difference in the daily lives and well-being of our care recipients.

In your role, you will:

• Support and assist care recipients with personal care, household chores, and medication management under delegation from a nurse.
• Work from a health-promoting perspective to strengthen the individual's abilities and create security.
• Collaborate in a team focused on increasing the quality of life for our care recipients. You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and tools to strengthen person-centered care at your workplace.

About Us

We in Home Care South consist of two units. One unit works in outer Heby, Morgongåva, Runhällen/Huddunge, and surrounding areas, and another unit works in central Heby. Our starting point is Lövsta Elderly Care Home in Heby.

We currently have a permanent position with a distribution of 75% within our Home Care South unit and 25% within other operations within the Care and Social Services Administration.

Working hours are distributed during day and evening shifts as well as weekends.

Is this you?

We want you to:

• Be a qualified nursing assistant and be able to present a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare if required.
• Have previous work experience as a nursing assistant.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate and document correctly.
• Have good IT skills.
• Hold a valid B driving license.
• Be flexible, attentive, and have a professional attitude when interacting with people.
• Be able to work both independently and in a team, and adapt to changes.

In addition to medication delegation, you must be able to accept delegation for insulin, Fragmin, stoma care, and dialysis. Previous delegation in any of these areas is an advantage. Previous experience as a nursing assistant specifically in home care and/or elderly care is also an advantage.

Personal suitability will be given great weight.
