We are looking for you who want to help develop a modern SaaS platform used by large international companies to optimize complex flows within trade and supply chains. We are now seeking a Software Engineer who wants to work in a tech-driven environment where innovation, problem-solving, and AI-assisted development are a natural part of everyday life.

In this role, you will work on developing business-critical systems that handle large amounts of data in real-time. You will become part of an international team where you will jointly build, test, and deploy solutions that create value for customers worldwide. Here, you will have the opportunity to work through the entire development cycle – from understanding business challenges and requirements to developing, implementing, and further evolving technical solutions.

AI tools are a natural part of the development process and are used daily to streamline work. At the same time, you are expected to have a critical approach and take full responsibility for the quality of the code delivered.

• Develop, test, and deploy production code within backend and/or frontend
• Build and maintain functionality throughout the entire development process, from business needs to finished solution
• Actively work with AI-based development tools as an integrated part of daily work
• Evaluate, improve, and quality-assure AI-generated code
• Debug, optimize, and further develop performance-critical systems that handle large data volumes in real-time
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues
• Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders across multiple time zones
• Build knowledge in areas such as supply chain, forecasting, and inventory optimization
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the organization

• Have good knowledge of programming and software development
• Have a relevant post-secondary education in areas such as computer science, system development, or similar
• Have experience with at least one backend language such as Java, Python, Go, or equivalent
• Have a good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and basic system design
• Are accustomed to reading, analyzing, and further developing code written by others
• Have experience with or an established working method where AI tools are used as support in the development process
• Communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing

You have an analytical approach, ask relevant questions, and are not afraid to ask for help when needed. Furthermore, you are responsible, collaborate well with others, and have the ability to drive your work forward even in an international and distributed organization.

This is a consulting assignment, which means that initially, you will be employed by Friday. The ambition from both the Client's and our side is to transition to direct employment with the Client in the long run.
