Brasserie Astrid is looking for an engaged and meticulous porter for our operations and maintenance team. We are a modern restaurant in the heart of the city with a strong focus on guest experience, quality, and a secure workflow. As a porter, you contribute to the smooth operation of the restaurant by supporting the kitchen, service, and bar with practical tasks and quick problem-solving.
Job Responsibilities – PorterSupport the kitchen and service as needed: carry goods up and down, assist with plating and moving plates and trays.
Responsible for keeping the back office, storage areas, and transit areas clean and organized.
Transport and store deliveries and check delivery shipments against orders.
Help with simple technical maintenance, replacement of consumables, and report faults to the responsible operations or kitchen manager.
Assist with setting and clearing tables, and rearranging between service shifts to ensure the right pace in the dining room.
Participate in waste management and sorting according to the restaurant's environmental policy.
Perform ad hoc tasks that contribute to the guest experience and the team's efficiency.
Experience from restaurants, large-scale catering, or similar is advantageous but not required.
Basic knowledge of hygiene and food handling is an advantage.
Physical endurance and habit of working at a high pace during service periods.
Good communication skills in Swedish; English is an advantage.
Responsible, punctual, and meticulous in the execution of tasks.
Flexibility in working hours with the possibility to work evenings and weekends.
Service-oriented and helpful—you see what is needed and act proactively.
A team player who contributes to a secure and positive work environment.
Structured and solution-oriented when facing work-related challenges.
Humble and professional in interactions with colleagues and guests.
