Café Assistant 100% – Parental Leave Substitute, August 10 – December 31, 2026

Do you want to work in a café where service, quality, and guest interaction are at the forefront? We are now looking for an engaged and positive Café Assistant for TK Café for a full-time parental leave substitute position.

This role is a solo position, meaning you are responsible for the daily operations of the café and thrive working independently, taking initiative, and making decisions in your daily work.

About the Role

As a Café Assistant, you are responsible for providing our guests with a warm welcome and a positive experience. Your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing and serving food and beverages
• Brewing coffee, lattes, and cappuccinos
• Handling cash registers
• Upselling
• Inventory management and ordering supplies
• Restocking products
• Cleaning and daily maintenance of café areas and equipment

About TK Café

TK Café is a popular meeting place where we offer coffee, pastries, sandwiches, salads, and other light meals. The café is staffed on weekdays between 08:00–15:00. During other hours, our guests shop via our unmanned fridges and our Market 24/7 concept.

Our guests come from many different parts of the world, which means you will use both Swedish and English daily when interacting with guests.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who:

• Is at least 18 years old
• Thrives working independently and taking responsibility
• Has a genuine interest in service and hospitality
• Is positive, responsible, and solution-oriented
• Enjoys sales and upselling
• Is stress-resistant and has good teamwork skills
• Takes initiative and is flexible
• Has strong planning and organizational skills
• Speaks and writes Swedish and English

Merits

• Experience from cafés, restaurants, retail, or other service industries
• Barista training or experience working with espresso machines
• Additional language skills
