Job Responsibilities

As a licensed nurse in specialized housing, you have overall responsibility for care and play a central role in daily operations. You work closely with care staff and support them in health and medical interventions. With your medical expertise, you contribute to safety, quality, and good conditions for every individual.

You collaborate with various professions where the patient's needs are always in focus. The role also includes mentoring staff and students, as well as providing support and guidance to relatives.

As a nurse with us, you will become part of an engaged team, currently located in Valla, Rönnen, or Lingbo, where collaboration is a natural part of the work. You work both independently and in close cooperation with colleagues, which requires your ability to make your own decisions while valuing teamwork.

You are also part of a larger context where cooperation between our units is strong. Collegial support among nurses is a key success factor: here we share knowledge, support each other, and help out in both everyday and more complex situations.

You have a unit manager who works remotely based on trust-based leadership. This means you are given great trust to make decisions in daily work, while support is always available when needed. Working hours are during the day, 06:45–16:00, with work every 6th weekend.

Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with experience in the field.

It is an advantage if you have mentoring education or other advanced training.

We are looking for someone who can work independently and has good collaboration skills. You have a high level of commitment, a positive attitude towards development, and are motivated by thinking new thoughts and finding creative solutions.

A driver's license with category B is required.

In the Welfare Administration, approximately 2,500 employees work. In connection with the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Approved documents include a passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, or another ID document that strengthens citizenship. For some positions, extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal record register are required. We appreciate knowledge of Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

In our municipality, a number of positions are classified for security, so a security clearance may be required. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
