About the role
As an Area Sales Manager, you will drive sales in Sweden, with a specific focus on the southern regions where the majority of producers are located. The role is field-based and customer-centric, with a clear focus on fresh food products, particularly fruits and vegetables.
You will play a key role in developing and driving commercial activities with the goal of increasing sales and strengthening ULMA Packaging's position in Sweden.
In this role, you will actively engage in market development and prospecting to identify new business opportunities and build long-term customer relationships. You will manage the sales process from initial contact to closing the deal, including negotiations, quotation preparation, and follow-up of commercial activities. You will handle customer inquiries and feedback in a professional and solution-oriented manner to ensure high customer satisfaction and contribute to improving the company's offerings and service.
The role involves close collaboration with colleagues in Sweden and at the headquarters in Spain. Ongoing communication and coordination are essential for developing and implementing successful commercial strategies and activities.
This is a direct hire position with ULMA Packaging, starting as agreed. ULMA Packaging's office is located in Lomma, Skåne. The office currently consists of a team of just under 10 employees in sales, service, and back-office. You will report directly to the Managing Director in Sweden.
About you
We are looking for someone with experience in technical B2B sales, or alternatively, a few years of B2B sales experience with a strong technical profile.
We prefer candidates with knowledge or experience from the packaging or food industry, or related sectors. Previous experience in selling industrial equipment, such as machinery within the packaging or food industry, is considered a significant advantage.
To succeed in this role, you must have strong knowledge of the Swedish market and be fluent in both Swedish and English.
You are a driven and business-oriented individual with strong communication and social skills. You excel at building long-term relationships and thrive in a customer-facing role that combines independent work with collaboration.
As a person, you are proactive, flexible, and adaptable, with the ability to work structured and goal-oriented even at a fast pace. You are confident in negotiations, results-driven, yet attentive to customer needs and focused on building trust in your business relationships.
You are motivated by identifying new business opportunities and developing new customers and markets. The role requires good organizational skills, a sense of responsibility, and a high degree of resilience.
You enjoy working independently in a field-based role while valuing cross-functional collaboration and active knowledge sharing across the organization.
