Our Operations

Munkmoraskolan is growing! Munkmoraskolan is a small school, currently covering grades F-4, but will expand to include grade 5 in the autumn of 2026. The school is centrally located in Värmdö Municipality with good public transport connections and close proximity to nature. We have approximately 165 students and a staff group with low turnover. The school's size is one of our many strengths.

At Munkmoraskolan, everyone knows each other, and everyone feels at home. We currently have very good results regarding safety and well-being, as well as good academic results. Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a positive meal experience for our students. Munkmoraskolan is the only municipal school in Värmdö Municipality certified as a Generation PEP school. This means, among other things, that the meal has a central place in our operations and in the work towards our vision. Good quality, nutritional content, and the fact that most of the food is prepared in our own kitchen are self-evident to us. We also want to inspire students to dare to try new flavors and dishes. Munkmoraskolan serves breakfast, lunch, and snacks to our students every day, but also sells food to other units.

Your Role

As a Meal Assistant with us, you will work in a team together with two chefs, but also closely with other school staff and students. Your tasks will include preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks, preparing salad buffets, handling dishes, and continuously keeping the kitchen clean. In the kitchen, you will take turns with the tasks that need to be done; therefore, you may also need to assist with cooking in a large-scale kitchen if necessary. A very important part of the job is to contribute to a good atmosphere in the dining hall where the students, our guests, should feel safe, seen, and understood.

Your Experience

You have a restaurant education at the upper secondary level and/or a chef education, or other experience that the employer deems equivalent. Basic knowledge of special diets is meritorious. Your ability to understand and use the Swedish language, both orally and in writing, is very good.

Experience of cooking in a large-scale kitchen is meritorious.
