At Lilla Alby School, we have grand visions for the future and hope you share them. We are a preschool class to year 6 school with approximately 480 students. The school is located in Lilla Alby in central Sundbyberg, with easy access to the tram, bus, subway, and commuter train.

The school consists of two buildings, the red house and the white house. We have functional classrooms for subjects such as art, music, home economics, and the school library. Our after-school centers have partially dedicated spaces designed for their activities. The playground at the white house (preschool class to year 2) is designed to encourage play and is well-suited for the younger grades. The playground at the red house (years 3–6 and after-school care) features a multi-purpose court suitable for various ball sports. The direct proximity to Tuvan Park is a great asset for active breaks and after-school activities.

The role includes participating in school development. Every week, you and your colleagues meet under the guidance of lead teachers and school management. The school's prioritized areas of collaborative planning and joint assessment aim to contribute to Sundbyberg City's goals of increased goal achievement and greater equity. Every student should have the opportunity to develop maximally in terms of knowledge and social interaction. Underpinning this is the municipality-wide work on "Accessible Learning" and USiP – Teaching Skills in Practice, where educators have the opportunity to develop their teaching by observing each other's lessons.

Lilla Alby School is a movement school with a health initiative we call PSG – Puls Sprint Go. We focus on increased physical activity throughout the school day, which includes scheduled movement breaks. We believe that increased movement not only improves students' health, both mentally and physically, but also enhances their learning.

We are now seeking primary school teachers for two temporary positions covering parental leave for teachers in year 4 and year 5 for the autumn term of 2026. One position involves teaching year 4 in mathematics, Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language (SVA), English, and technology in year 6. The other position involves mentorship in year 5, as well as teaching in mathematics, Swedish/SVA, and social studies.

Qualifications

• We require you to be a certified teacher with the necessary qualifications for the subjects involved in each position.

The position is a 100% temporary contract starting August 7, 2026.
