About AniCura Western Veterinary Hospital

At AniCura Western Veterinary Hospital in Gothenburg, our heroes work every day to provide high-quality care for animals and save lives. Since our founding in 2007, we have built a strong, engaged team with a shared vision: to shape the future of veterinary care together.

We are an established and personal veterinary hospital with many years of combined expertise under one roof. Our operations are staffed 24/7, with a reception open between 08:00–20:00. Here, you will encounter a varied patient flow with both emergency cases and referrals, and we offer specialist clinics in areas such as ophthalmology, dermatology, dentistry, diabetes, gastroenterology, cardiology, feline medicine, and lameness.

Our inpatient ward is separated for dogs and cats and includes an Intensive Care Unit (ICU). On our modern surgical department, we perform most types of procedures within both soft tissue surgery and orthopedics. The hospital is also equipped with computed tomography (CT), digital X-ray, and several ultrasound units for both abdominal and cardiac examinations.

About the Role

As a veterinarian specializing in internal medicine, you will become an important part of our clinical team. You will:

• Work with internal medicine investigations and patient cases both at the clinic and on the inpatient ward.
• Meet a varied patient group with complex medical problems.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in imaging diagnostics, surgery, and other specialist areas.
• Contribute to the continued development of internal medicine expertise at AniCura.
• Have the opportunity to influence your own work situation based on interest and experience.

Evening and weekend work according to schedule, as the facility is staffed based on patient flow and the need for good accessibility for our patients.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who are:

• A licensed veterinarian with several years of clinical experience.
• Driven and curious with a special interest in internal medicine.
• A team player who values collaboration, engagement, and high patient safety.
• Positive towards continued development – both for yourself and the business.

Experience in dentistry, ultrasound, or specialist training is meritorious but not a requirement.
